Neil Habig is the primary contact for Heritage Wind project. Neil has been an accomplished wind developer in the Northeast for the past several years, having developed multiple projects in New England and New York, including several that are now in operation. He has worked in the wind industry for the past 12 years, initially with Clipper, then with Atlantic Renewable Energy Corporation, and later with Iberdrola Renewables. During this time, he built, developed, or managed over 1,000 MW of wind projects. Prior to his career in wind, Neil managed and developed undersea cable projects in the communications industry.
Carmen O'Keefe is a project developer for the Heritage Wind and Lighthouse Wind projects. She began working with Apex in July of 2015. Carmen manages the offices in Barker and Albion and helps to establish relationships and connections in Somerset, Yates, and Barre. Carmen grew up in Newfane and is thrilled to see the potential for progress in the area she considers home. Carmen has a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music from Greenville College and is musically active in Western New York.
Jessica Walsh is the Public Engagement Coordinator for the Heritage and Lighthouse Wind projects. She started out as an intern for Apex in December of 2017 and was hired on full-time in November of 2018. She is a recent graduate of the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geoscience. Jessica is eager to work closely with the public to promote renewable energy and community benefits in Barre, Somerset and Yates.
