FACT: Wind energy is responsible for far fewer bird deaths than buildings and house cats

When designing a project, Apex works with third-party analysts to assess and minimize the potential wildlife impacts associated with a site. Our layouts are always designed to minimize harm to wildlife and the surrounding environment.

While birds do occasionally collide with wind turbines, wind power is far less harmful to birds than radio towers, tall buildings, airplanes, vehicles, and numerous other manmade objects. (The US Forest Service estimated in 2005 that wind power is responsible for less than 0.003% of anthropogenic bird deaths - those caused by humans and pets.)
